Snap it. Swipe it. Swap it.
How Swapties works
Turn something you no longer use into a swap you actually want. Swapties is a swap-first marketplace, not a checkout or payment service.
1. Snap an honest listing
Create an account, photograph the actual item and describe its condition, faults and what you would like in return. You can use up to six photos and edit their order. Keep your item available and pause it if your plans change.
Listings are checked before they can go live. A listing may be held for review or blocked; a suggested description is not approval. Changing important listing details or photos requires another safety check.
2. Swipe to discover
In Discover, Like shows interest, Maybe saves an item for later, and Pass moves on. Filters help you choose what to see. Nearby results depend on the location you save and the listings currently available; we do not promise an item or a match in every area.
The examples on our homepage demonstrate the interface. They are not a live inventory or evidence of local availability.
3. Offer, bundle and counter
Use incoming interest and the proposal flow to choose exactly which items you want to offer and receive. An offer can include more than one item. The other member can decline, accept or counter with a different combination.
Check the proposed items each time. A counter is a new proposal, not an acceptance of the previous one. Keep the conversation in Swapties so the agreed proposal and message history stay together.
4. Agree the exchange
After acceptance, both members choose the same exchange method. For an in-person swap, agree a suitable meeting and both confirm completion. For a postal swap, each side records its own dispatch and receipt progress.
A tracking reference is information supplied by a member, not proof that a carrier delivered a parcel. Swapties does not buy postage, hold payments, insure exchanges or guarantee recovery. Read our safe-swapping guidance before meeting or posting.
5. Review, report and get help
Completed swaps can receive reviews. Reviews initially remain private under the blind-review rules. If an accepted incomplete swap has a problem, use its dispute controls on the swap detail page (Current swap in the conversation, then Report a problem). Unresolved disputes pause terminal completion, not the need to keep documenting progress. Report member is a separate safety report, not a swap dispute.
Block or report unwanted behaviour. Moderation and disputes do not guarantee reimbursement or an immediate response. For account or technical help, use Contact and Support.
